Compass Group UK & Ireland’s graduate programme is designed to develop the key skills, behaviours and experiences you need to become a future leader.
You'll complete placements across our business and benefit from specialist training and mentoring to support your career progression.
Building relationships will be a key focus and we'll provide you with plenty of opportunities to network through organised events, development programmes and charity initiatives.

The Junior Chef Academy (JCA) is a transformative ten-week cookery course for schoolchildren, designed and delivered by Compass Group UK & Ireland in partnership with Brakes.
Bringing together our culinary teams and local schools and colleges, students are taught fundamental culinary skills using a range of different foods. The course culminates in a special graduation event where students prepare and serve a four-course meal for families, teachers and Compass guests.
The journey doesn’t end there. JCA participants are subsequently encouraged to complete work experience in a Compass kitchen, providing them with valuable real-world experience. Those keen to pursue a culinary career are then provided with further careers information, opening doors to future opportunities.

Supported internships provide one-year transition to work programmes for young adults aged 18-24 with a learning disability, autism spectrum condition, or both. We run successful programmes with several partners and offer placements in client programmes.
Students complete rotations in departments including catering, retail and cleaning. They’re fully embedded within their teams, given comprehensive training and empowered to develop their skills and confidence.
Placements give a broad range of experiences, supporting participants to identify their strengths, interests and potential future career paths. Interns also complete classroom-based activities, including CV writing and interview techniques.
Young people who’ve completed courses with us have achieved successful employment outcomes, both within ESS and other organisations.
